Hi Everyone!!!

I am excited to be able to post again to my original blog. I couldn't be happier. So here is hoping that everyone had wonderful holidays and that your 2012 resolutions are well underway an everyone is off to a great start.

I for one have not made a resolution or resolutions. I have begun project 2012. Simply put I am going to do all the things that make me and my family happy without putting all the stress on me about when I have to do it by or why I have to do. I want to live life happy and healthy. That is all going to take time and its going to be those little changes that will quickly add up to a happier, healthy me.

I even decided it was time to make a vision board. For those of you who are new to the word vision board, its simply a look at what you want, how to get it, and what the end result should look like according to you. On this board you can put whatever you want. Your goals, dreams, accomplishments, inspirational sayings whatever helps you achieve that end result.

Flash Friday 55 (Spring is in the Air)

Early to rise
out before the sun
fresh air hits my face
inhale.

Ahhh the freshness
of trees budding, grass growing,
hints of flowers here and there.

Spring is in the air.
With Spring comes life.
New flowers bloom,
birds are back singing,
and the butterflies are
dancing right before my eyes.

Flash friday 55 theres two this week (intro #1)

The Intro

The challenges of life aren't always fair.
Sometimes we are left with our mouths open wide
and our jaws on the floor in disbelief.

I always say, that we are given so many challenges, to make us stronger, and
to prove we can handle it, and to learn a valuable lesson. We become more aware.

Part 2

Today we are facing an unexplained challenge. The
end to a life so young and without explanation.

As tears pour from our eyes, we remember the man,father,son,nephew, cousin, godfather, brother-n-law, husband, friend. No words can express our shock. No symptoms, no warning. Gone from our lives too soon. We will always remember you. May you rest in peace. Love your family.

*This is in honor of my brother-in-law who passed away late Tuesday night 1/26/2010 at the young age of 45 years. We will miss you Brian rest in peace.*

Flash Friday 55 (Life is Precious)

Life in itself is precious.
There are simple things that
help make life even more precious.

Such as the sound of children's laughter,
the smell of a new baby, birds singing, sun shining
flowers blooming, the twinkling of stars, the glow of the
moon, the warmth of the sun, the morning dew, and a smiling face.

Flash Friday 55(oh the places he will roam)

The first time we met
we knew he was the one for us.
He was a little ball of fun.
He had those take me home puppy
eyes, and the cute button nose. He had
huge paws that made me smile, cause
I knew we were going to have a big pup.
Although it has only been two days since you
past, we miss you and love you so much. We hope
you have met grampy in heaven, we hope you are running,
playing, and fishing, oh the places you can roam. If only you
were home.

A terrible Loss, We love you Dodger, Goodbye.

As some of you might know or remember we had searched a lot for a pup to bring home that would be a good fit for our kids as well as one that would be suitable to be a pediatric therapy dog. We had found him and brought him home to be a part of our family on July 2, 2009 when he was just 7 1/2 weeks old. A beautiful black lab. We named him Dodger. He was 100% pure puppy. He would get into everything and anything and make us yell but, we loved him so much. Today we are saying goodbye to our beloved baby of 8 1/2 months. Dodger was struck in the early morning today by a school bus. We love him and miss him. To one heck of a puppy we love ya rest in peace buddy.

Surgery

Just a little note to let everyone know the much anticipated adenoid surgery on my youngest daughter, was a huge success!!! She was a trooper, she wasn't scared either. She picked out bubblegum scent to go into her mask so that is what she smelled when anesthesia was passing through the mask lol. She is home and already playing and laughing. Yay Lexi!!!

Today is not about me continuing on a 55 story, today is about wishing everyone a very Merry Holiday season, and a very safe and Happy New Year. Today is also about change, not waiting for the New Year to make a resolution. My resolution is selfish this year, but perhaps long over due. My New Years resolution is about getting healthy safely, without the use of diet pills and drinks. Its about remembering there are consequences to all actions. I am setting a jar on my counter that will be labeled 365 days of happiness. Everyday I will put a slip of paper in it with one thing I am happy for. Come next year I will open this jar up and I will read, and reflect upon all the things that have made me happy but more importantly what I am blessed to have. I want to thank all of you who have come to my blog and shared in some laughs, some gibberish and perhaps a tear or two maybe even a few Gasps lol. I hope this year brings about a lot more inspirations and great writing. I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe, healthy, and prosperous holiday season. Hugs from me to all of you.

Feel the heat

from the oven.

Dough has risen.

Bowls of sprinkles

and food coloring adorn

the table. Kids are eyeing

the tiny pieces of candy.

Twinkling eyes, and smiles.

Ahhhh the innocense of Christmas

is all upon their faces.

"They're ready!" mom says. She hands

them all on gingerbread boy or girl

cookie to decorate.

Flash Friday 55 (Panic 2)

I knew I had to help but how?
The messages were few and far
between. The cry for help was apparent.
My heart was racing, my palms clammy,
things were becoming unclear. My breathing
has become rapid.
I slump down against the brick wall.
I know I need to pull it together, fast, and
now!

My heart melted.
Tears ran down my face.
A wave of panic over took
me, as my heart began to race.
With every beat, it was as if I was
trapped. There was no way to reach
him. As I yelled his name, all other
sound except for the echo of my racing heart
was all that could be heard.

Flash Friday 55 its late but its here lol The Moon and Stars

The moon and the stars,
are just a few of some of
the special things in my life.

I have wished upon numerous
stars. I adore the moon.

I always tell the kids
I love them more than the
moon and the stars.

I love to see the night a glow
by the moon. Dazzling by the
stars.

Flash Friday 55 (Oh My!!!) Making up for the last two weeks

Hi to all my blogging friends. This 55 is over 55 words but I am kind of making up for the last two weeks of not posting lol.

Oh My!!!

There she was
a perfect little
girl.

Pink and beautiful.

I remember holding her
right after she was born,
she had her eyes open as
soon as she heard my voice.

That sweet little face,
that baby smell. She
is all mine. What a
beautiful baby. My
heart was so happy,
so full of love. No other
feeling in the world like it.

Yesterday marked her
first day as a teen. Oh
what a beautiful young
girl I have raised. Here's to
many more years to come.

Flash Friday 55 (Sometimes)

Sometimes its more
clear than others.

Decisions are clear cut...
Sometimes.

Sometimes words flow smoothly,
and sometimes it feels like there stuck.

Some or most will agree that there is
multiple answers to a question and, its
open to interpertation by the individual.

Sometimes.

Why then is it so easy for some
to give their all and,
others not so much?

Sometimes.

Flash Friday 55 (My sigh) Yes I know its late lol

It felt good,
it was exciting.

It was for a great cause.
The adrenaline rush
had been great for so
long.

The day finally came.
Traffic blocked for three
miles. Nine hundred thousand
dollars raised by all teams.

A sigh of relief
it was over. With a
smile, I knew my
efforts paid off.
S I G H.

*Our Autism Walk took place Sat. Sept. 26th it was a beautiful Fall day. We kicked off our walk at 9:25am over 3000 in attendance and over $900,000.00 raised collectively by all of our teams. It was a fantastic day for all. *

Flash Friday 55 (The Bus) Yep its a little longer than 55

There I was holding his hand.
Just the two of us.
Smiling and singing
The Wheels on the Bus.

Waiting for the bus, we
watched as car after car
passed us by, still no bus.

Finally I saw it at the
lights, I watched it turn.
It was approaching our
house. The bus stopped
and, I walked him to the door
and helped him get loaded.

He looked excited at first,
then turned around and gave
me that look of come on mom
what are you waiting for?

I smiled at him and said,
its okay buddy, your going
to school. My heart sank.

*sorry I exceeded my 55 but it was the first bus ride for my little guy today and one of the hardest things to do*

Flash Friday 55 (Remembering)

The silence was
heard around the world.
Our faces fell white with
what we had just witnessed.
Our hands covered our mouths,
as tears poured from our eyes.
Why would someone do this?
Many people lost their lives
in a senseless act of cruelty.
Others risked it all to those
who were trapped and scared.

*God bless the USA and my prayers are with the families that lost loved ones and to all our nation's heros who were there to help in our nations time of need. Never will we forger 9/11*

Flash Friday 55 (A new school year)

Ahhh no but its
still summer!!!

You could hear them all
exclaim this sentiment as
if this will change the fact
that another school year
has arrived.

Hustle and bustle
books and binders
teachers glare
pupils return the stare

New clothes
new faces
new places

Great to see
smiles upon their
faces. Yay!!!
