Rising Above prompt from matinee muse

One loney tear
fell from his eyes

One gentle touch
helped erase the
wetness on his face

One quivering lip
a gentle kiss

A cry for help
a talk from a wise
one to encourage,
and inspire

A soft smile,
a hand to hold
and lots more encouragement.

His head is held high
he is full of confidence
there is a smile on his face
he walks with such grace.

He is now offering his hand
and shoulders to those who need it

Ahhh he has done it
he is no longer
miserable
he has walked
that walk
but became inspired.

Now he is rising above.

For Him Dedicated to my son

For him
I stand tall
For him
I will always have courage
For him

I weep
but only when he is asleep
For him I pray

For him I have faith
In time he will grow

to be a strong and courageous man
now he has his mom

his strength his rock
For him I will always be exactly that

For him I will always have a smile
For him I would walk the endless mile
For him my heart beats

For him
I will always be there to catch him
when the days aren't always what they should be
For him

I will always have advice
For him I will always have an ear,
a shoulder,
or just a knowing look
For Him.

A new start of the School year

Fresh faces, new places. Today marked the beginning of yet another school year. Three going off to school this year. Can anyone say quiet?

Well the oldest entered her last year of middle school, the middle child is in second grade and the third child is going to kindergarten. The baby well he has a few more years. But wow talk about quiet. Well actually if truth be told true quietness does not start until next week. Kindergarteners don't start until the following week just due to get the older kids acclamated to the building and their routines then bring the little ones in.

Everyone for the most part was happy to go back. The second grader was busting at the seems to go, the 6th grader was happy when she came home wasn't all that excited that summer vacation was over on her way out the door, and the kindergartener to be is busting with total anticipation of going to school.

They looked so cute and even cuter when they returned to say what a great day they had and what nice teachers they had. My oldest was happy to know what one of her really best buds was in her class, the middle child was happy cause quite a few were in her class from last year. So it seems the school year looks very promising right now hopefully it will continue.
