Random New Years Eve Thought

Has anyone ever been curious about the Tree of Life? Well I have. While doing some research I have noticed that just about every country has their own meaning behind the Tree of Life. Well my thought on the Tree of Life besides the obvious, that being that it is beautiful, is that I can see why there are so many meanings.

Well my meaning is a simplistic one. I believe that the roots of the tree are our beginning from birth, to our early years such as childhood up to the ending of the teen years. Boy does that cover a lot lol. Then there is the trunk. The trunk is big and strong and holds things together. This is where things become clearer to us and our futures and careers are shaped. So much goes on and many years are covered in this section. Then there are the branches that weren't so strong that broke and landed on the ground. What do they symbolize? They symbolize the lessons we have learned along the way of this journey called life. They are some friends that we may have cherished and lost along the way, family members who are no longer with us, relationships that were once great that are no longer. They are those opportunities you didn't seize they are the past but, they are memories that you will always have whether good or bad. Then there are the branches that are strong and still apart of the tree. Those are the new ties, new bonds, new relationships, new friends, new opportunities. They are all things that continue to nurture us on our journey of life. They are also the lasting imprint that we will leave for all to remember us by. I am going to try in any free time to do a little more research on the tree of life but, one thing is for sure I am happy with my description of what the tree of life holds for me.

Above are two pics of the Tree of Life.

Peeved

Okay, once again it is on its way to reac havoc amongst those of us who live in good ole Massachusetts. The white cold stuff another 3 to 6 inches due here tomorrow. What the hell. I wanna be dropped on an island over looking the beach with a comfy hammock. Anyone interested in getting me to this destination may contact me ASAP. LOL. As many of you know we got dumped with 16 inches yes I said 16 did not studder did not miss a beat of the crappy white stuff about two weeks ago. AWWWW but its so pretty, NOT. Okay maybe the first or two but then enough is enough. Okay enough ranting and raving about the unpleasantness of New England life in the winter. The pics are from the first snowstorm that hit us with 16 inches and then the other two pics are of some area lights and displays in local neighborhoods.

Sunset from the other Night

I will try and come up with a poem or haiku for these absolutely beautiful sunset pics!

Happy New Years

Just want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe New years! Mine will be very low key. The kids usually have friends over. I made a confetti ball and got them 2008 paper eyeglasses and noisemakers last year and ofcourse goodies and we rented some movies. I think this year will probably be the same. So whatever it is that you all do to have fun remember moderation, don't let friends drive drunk, designated driver, and Welcome 2009!!!

Late A sunday Scribblings Prompt

Late

Where can I be

I was on my way

one sign leading me here

the other leading me there.

Help me

I left in the day

I thought I was near

the question now is do I dare

to turn there or where?

Today was a day

I thought I knew my way

at this rate

I will be late!

Okay not sure if I have mentioned it before or not but, if I have again I am going to repeat myself which is nothing new in the day and the life of a mom. So here goes. The girls decided we are going to do a three color tree theme next year. The colors picked are Pink, Purple and Blue. So today we went out and got a little head start on some cool ornaments. For the pink catagory we got a brite pink VW Bug that Lexi picked. I have always wanted one of those cars lol. Then for Ryan we picked out a snowman decked out in his New England Patriots gear, we got some cool purplish looking disco type beaded garland, and then I picked out a rustic looking snowmen with a purple tint. Also got a Santa key which will not be on the tree but will be placed by the cookies and milk.

Now for the people who are not familiar with the legend of the pickle. The legend of the pickle basically originated in Germany. They used to hide the pickle within the bows of the tree and the person to find it was the most observant and would recieve and extra present. Well Lexi found it. So I gave her five dollars. So when we were out shopping she took her five dollars and bought a new white webkinz kitty.

Merry Christmas

Just wanted to take the time to say Merry Christmas to all my blogging buddies and all the people who are nice enough to stop here and read my continual nonsensical babble lol. Yes I said nonsensical. WHATEVER!!!

Today is a great Christmas Day. The kids awoke at 7:30 okay the girls did Ryan did not wake until 10:00. The girls were wide eyed and happy with their gifts. I got to rock out with one of the newest gift which is Guitar Hero Aerosmith edition for the Wii fun game I guess I have to learn to be more coordinated or Aerosmith will not be taken me on tour anytime soon. The kids are excellent on it. Our house has anything from dinosaurs to video games to princess wear to art gear. Great day.

We were not traditional meal wise. The kids said they wanted mom to not cook a regular Christmas dinner this year they wanted Chinese food, didn't have to twist my arm for that one lol. So chinese food it was and got to say pretty darn good. During lunch Grandma got run over by a reindeer came on and it made us all really miss Grampy my dad. Ummm no he did not get run over by a reindeer lol he passed away from cancer. That was one of his fave Christmas songs. This is our second Christmas without him and we all miss him so much. This was our first Christmas without Grammy my mom who moved to Alabama last February. My mom and I got to say how much we missed each other first thing this morning. She will have a good day though she will be at my sisters with some of my nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and their boyfriends and husbands.

I also took time to watch The Christmas Shoes, early this morning. Yes I cried like a baby as I do when I watch an emotional movie but this one just moves me to pieces. Starring Kimberly Williams and Rob Lowe. I will leave the link to youtube for the song for those of you who are not familiar with it. Absolutely beautiful. You may have to copy and paste it in your browser cause I have no luck with the link feature on this blog site lol. Once again Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

The Princess Turns 6

Today is a very special day in my household. My youngest daughter, turns 6!

She started her day with a great big Happy Birthday from me and a hug and kiss. Then we had breakfast with the other sisters while lil brother Ryan slept in. Today was also the last day of school before the holiday break begins. So she ate breakfast then I surprised her with a Birthday Princess sash, tiara, and wand and two hair extensions one yellow and one multicolor with the yellow in it. Wedo kinda like yedo you know has evolved quite nicely into yellow over the years her fave color. I ordered the class pizza and she had a great day. She came home and I made her fave meal spaghetti and meatieballs lol and then her cupcakes adorned with what else but chocolate chips and peanutbutter chips lol. She got her Barbie castle and is in her glories. Her party for all her classmates will be held first weekend of January.

5 Favorite Things about Christmas

I got this lovely award from http://roseysposey.blogspot.com, and she’s asked me to write about my favourite Christmas things. I stopped at 5 although I could have gone on for pages!First I have to explain the rules* You must be a true Christmas lover to receive this award* the person to whom you give the award must also be in love with Christmas* you must link back to the person who gave you the award* you must list 5 things that you love about Christmas. if you can’t limit it to 5 things, then keep going till you run out of space!* pass the award along to as many people as you like. That can be 1 or 50. It’s up to you. But, you must pass it one to at least one person in order to keep the Christmas cheer going!* Let your recipients know that you have tagged them by leaving them a comment.

Okay well it is true that I do love Christmas and here are my reasons:

1. Being with my kids and family ofcourse. I love the joy and expression on the kids face Christmas morning and the couple of weeks leading up to it. I have made a twenty five day chain done in red and green links that each day they pull one link off this will let them know how many more days till Christmas they love it!

2. I love all the decorations, and light displays. Love to see how everyone decorates and gets into the spirit of things.

3. Love watching all the great holiday movies. Especially the classics like Nat'l Lampoon's Christmas vacation, A christmas Story, Miracle on 34th street, and ofcourse the animated classics.

4. I love to bake and cook so what better reason than for the holiday. Everyone loves dessert and I love to make it. So come on over and dig in.

5. I also love that it only comes once a year. It makes the day and the season of it all just so much more special. So here is wishing all my blogging buddies and readers of my blog a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thanks Rosey for this lovely award and now I want to pass this award on to Keith, I know how much he loves the holiday as well. Cheers.

Is There a Dentist In The House?

One of the best times about the holidays is ofcourse the food the baking in my case. I love to cook but really really love to bake. Did I say really? Well today I premade gingerbread boys and girls, gingerbread trees and ginger bread snowmen. I had these ready for when the kids came home from school all I had to do was ice them so they could sprinkle them with the colored sugar that I made in put in baggies. I colored them a neonish yellow, a evergreen color, a burgandy, pink, purple, and blue. They used mini meltaways that have a minty taste from Hickory Farms for eyes and buttons too darn cute. Needless to say I think the cookies weigh a pound from the sugar and the candies that were placed atop of them to adorn their cuteness lol. So is there a dentist who wants to work pro bono after the holidays lmao? If so you know who to contact. So here are the before pics and then the after pics. Ryan helped Mom and his sisters decorate one and only one. Sensory issues again are a tough thing for him and the stickiness from the frosting was enough to thoroughly upset him. Oh well. Enough babbling.

Riddle me This?

Okay I want to know by the show of hands class lmao, how many of you have ever heard of the "Master Cleanse Diet" or have heard and tried it? Yeah right you know you have atleast heard of it.

So let me tell you about this diet from all that I can base it on. I can base it on research as well as ummm yep I am trying it lol. Okay well I had heard about this from one of the nurses that works with me as well as a friend that used to be a nurse in a chiropracters office. I thought hmmm maybe there is some validity to it and maybe not.

Well basically this is a cleanse not a weight loss diet. Okay first of all the drink itself screams dieuretic that is all that it is with some sugar from a high grade syrup. So yes you will be in the bathroom eliminating yourself til you want to scream.

Okay you start off with 10 ounces of water to two tablespoons of lemon juice, two tablespoons of maple syrup grade B not the cheap stuff that you eat on your pancakes, and about a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. I made up two one quart containers for the morning half and will do another two for the afternoon. I have already drink two quarts of tea and have had almost two quarts of water. Trust me you will want to have the water to drink just to rinse the taste out of your mouth.

This cleanse is recommended for anywhere from 3-14 days at a time. You eat and I repeat you eat no solid foods during this fast. Okay so it may not sound so bad the first half the drink and all which I will admit it is not. Most of you know I am a pizzaholic and omg this is gonna do me in but I am trying it for how many days remains to be determined but this is day ONE.

As I read more and more about this incredibly easy yet painless thing to do I noticed it said you were not hungry or that you didn't get hunger pains as often. Okay now that I have picked myself up from the floor refer to the above paragraph I typed the word pizza and hung on to all five letters of the word wishing it would jump from the screen into my mouth. So I am going to go on the assumption that this is just the initial day of HELL and the rest will all be downhill from here.

Okay but there is more to this than that. See the cleanse doesn't stop with the dieuretic drink oh no the not so fun part of it comes in the evening. So devote atleast an hour and a half to the nearest possible room to your bathroom. This is the cleanse part. Ewww yuck yep you betcha it is. Just reading about it makes you go uggghhhhh.

Okay for this part of it you need 32 ounces or one quart of water boiled to tea temp drinking water. Add 2 level Teaspoons of natural seasalt unrefined and not iodized. You can add the juice from a lemon or lime to offset the taste. And remember stay near the bathroom.

As I said I just started this today so I will be able to tell you how that actually works tomorrow. I have already drink 2 quarts of water, 2 quarts of the tea and will be making another two quarts of the tea and another two quarts of water and then the flush this evening so my day is going to be bathroom bound lol. Keep checking back for progress updates.

Tradition (Sunday Scribbling Prompt)

For some traditions don't exist, aren't important, or perhaps are in the works. I love traditions whether there mine or others. Just hearing about them and what they mean to those who follow them is what makes me smile.

I guess I have a few traditions with my kids. Besides picking a new ornament to be placed on the tree each year, we have made it a tradition to bake gingerbread people, attempt to make a gingerbread house thank god they make the pre cut ones now lol. We have an annual Easter Egg hunt, we also have a spa day atleast once a year.

How did we come about the ornament tradition? Nine out of ten chances we were out and about and something pretty or funny caught our eye and we decided hey we got to have that for the tree and that is what we decided to do from here on out. Okay really how it came about when each child was born I got them there first ornament and then so on and so on for each year there after. Annual Easter Egg hunt, we just loved the fact that Easter brings about some of the prettiest colors and who doesn't like to have an Easter Egg hunt. We have anywhere from 10 to 18 kids each year sometimes a little more but who is counting its all about having fun I love it and so do they. Making gingerbread people came about when I got really fed up after making gingerbread houses three years in a row from scratch and having them collapse or just not look as good as those on television, so we decided to try making people, we invite kids over from school and we all decorate I prebake the people then set out little bowls of decorations and different color icings they have a blast and no matter what these people look a thousand times better than the television ones cause these are done with love by the little hands of these cuties.

My Sons first haircut

As most of the visitors of my blog know my son has Autism. Autism covers many spectrums. He has a lot of sensory issues. So this brings me to why I am posting this today. Well anyways, today was his first haircut. I thought this would be a hellish event, it turned out to be one of the neatest and most enjoyable haircuts ever. He did not fuss he was well behaved and he did it with no tears. So here is the before, during, and after pics of his first haircut.

Breakfast at McDonalds A friend sent this to me so I wanted to share it with all of you

Subject: FW: Breakfast at McDonalds
A Return is Requested....You'll see why. Breakfast at McDonald's
This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):
I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology.. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.
Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'
The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.
I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.
Soon after we were assigned the project, my hus band, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.
It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.
We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then
even my husband did.
I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.
As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men.
As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling'.
His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance.
He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.
The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.
I held my tears as I stood there with them.
The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.
He said, 'Coffee is all=2 0Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).
Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.
I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.
I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.
He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'
I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.'
I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope.'
We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.
We are not church goers, but we are believers.
That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.
I returned to coll ege, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand.
I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it.
Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?'
I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.
She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed.
In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son,the instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.
I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:
UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.
Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head. To handle others, use your heart.
God Gives every bird it's food, but He does not throw it into its nest.

Holiday Shopping

Despite the toe injury I did get out there on Friday for some festive holiday shopping. I personally did not see any great deals like in the past, or like what everyone anticipated due to the horrible economy. People were still rude and people believe it or not still got trampled or shot which is just terrible. There is nothing out there that anyone needs that much that someone has to get injured or killed.

Okay enough about the salesday. Yesterday which was Sunday I took the girls to pick out their new special ornament to adorn the tree this year. They each picked something out that they really liked or felt was too cool to pass up. My son has not picked his yet cause he really wasn't interested one way or the other yesterday lol. Yes this is a tradition of ours to go and pick out a special ornament so I will put the pics of the three new ornaments. We also got some new cool window clings that are just too pretty and a nice Merry Christmas banner and I got some bows to put on that too cool. I love the holidays.

We also love to bake and get really creative at this time of the year. So we bought some cute containers for the teachers and for all the therapist that come to work with my son, and we are going to bake cookies. The therapist love when I bake which is frequent so we know they will love the goodies. Okay enough of my babble for now.
Oh maybe I should say whose is what of ornaments. The cool swirly blue one is my oldest daughters pick, the Angel is my middle daughters pick, and the kitty wearing high heeled boots is my youngest daughters pick lol it is so her .

A Winter's Tale (Sunday Scribbling prompt)

I am not an overall big fan of winter. Not like I was when I was a kid. I liked winters as a kid because, there were some guaranteed days off from school, there was snowforts to be built, there was sledding, snow angels and ofcourse snowball fights. As I got older there was slow times getting to work, there was working short staffed, there is still sledding, snowball fights, snow angels, snow forts, snow people to be made. There is the first few awesome storms of the season which offer the calm when traffic comes to a halt, and you can see it glisten under the streetlights, or just how it hangs to the bows of the trees so pretty. Then there is morning when you have to shovel in order to get out. Its cold, its icey, its heavy, or its blowing. Hate it.

As a kid I really enjoyed it. Now I really don't except for the first couple.

My worst ever experience was in the winter of 1985. I was out sledding with my nieces we were using the saucer type of sleds. My father had just said about half hour before we went to the hill those saucers are way too fast, and slippery and someone is going to get hurt. Well we all went regardless of what was said.

Well good ole aunt Angie took her position on the sled was heading down the hill. I realized that I was really flying and something needed to happen fast, or something bad was going to happen. While thinking this I shifted my body which put me in a spin thankfully, for what was about to happen continues to be a terrible dream for me still to this day. I wake up screaming still. Thank god it turned me so that my back was facing the building which was apartments, I slammed into the brick building at an incredible rate of speed. I was knocked unconscious for a few minutes. I came through when I could feel ice cold under my butt it was the snow ofcourse, I could hear people around me saying quick go get grandpa aunt angie is dead and someone crying, I could feel someone touch my face. I sat up and then stood unable to breathe. The wind had been knocked out of me and I punched the person next to me which happened to be my niece as I ran for help and still not breathing go figure. I made it to a friend of the families house, they opened the door and said Aunt Angie oh my god that was you that hit the building oh my god.

They asked if they could call an ambulance I shook my head no. I walked up a hill and my father was already waiting for me. Said, "see I told you someone was going to get hurt." I must of looked awful cause my mothers coloring went from red cheeks to completely white. She started to get all nervous and teary eyed she said, "Jim we need to get her to the hospital now." I said no and asked if I could soak in a warm bath. I did and it did not subside the pain that I was feeling in my back. On our way home which was a 90 mile drive I must have cried some in my sleep in the car, cause my dad yelled,"do you want me to stop at the hospital?" I shook my head no. My mom was clearly upset and worried.

I still sled to this day but really won't do any real steep hills, and winter is certainly not my fave season. You live and you learn and that was a lesson learned. Oh yes I should have gone to the hospital oh well.

I will never forget Thanksgiving 2008

Hi to all my blogging buddies. Just a quick message to say hi. I want to be the first perhaps to use their blog to say I am thankful for all the people who come here and read my blog, so thank you all.

Now I will not forget Thanksgiving 2008, and why is that you may ask? Simple I am just returning from getting stitches. As I was cleaning out the fridge making room for all the goodies I had taken out a shelf and was cleaning and readjusting stuff when the glass fell out onto my toe and cut me through my slipper. So here I am with a fracture and stitches and yahoo Thanksgiving lol. So that was my adventure welcoming Thanksgiving this year.

I hope you all have a better start to your Thanksgiving than I did.

Ugghhhh

Okay so a few posts ago I talked about breaking the Turkey day traditional meal. Alright already someone make up my mind lol. I guess I am not breaking the tradition after all. I got a turkey and I have decided I will cook it up. I will be making lots of sides and baked goods as well. I am not big on the whole turkey thing but some of the guests who will be attending really want the traditional turkey so turkey it is and that is okay with everyone I guess some traditions aren't always worth breaking lol. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! Pssst lets hear it for pizza.

Requirements to get a word in a dictionary

Okay by now most of my readers should be familiar with a word that is infact mine yes mine, and I would like to see it get into the dictionary. I am not going to tell you the word. I am going to see if you my readers might just know what that word is. Okay well upon looking up what is required to get my word into the dictionary. Mirriams site says its simple usage of the word. Oh really well I use it quite often so if that is the case lets get it in there. Now not only was that the official answer but it was then broken down to citations and how the words are stored and observed for everyday usage. Then there were other catagories as well. Well I like the word that I say and I think it deserves a spot. So once I have polled my readers to see if any of you can guess the word then we will try and get it in the dictionary lol.

Okay readers with your comments please tell me what is my word?

Thought for Sunday

Ever wonder why when you get meds that are in liquid form the pharmacist will put in your bag a spoon? A measuring spoon, oh great you may think upon first seeing this in the bag. Until you take it out then you notice that this lovely measuring spoon is very inconvenient. Not only is it inconvenient it doesn't have your amount even on it lol. Why?

Sunday Scribblings prompt (grateful)

I am grateful for many things. Kind of funny that everytime this year or more so at Thanksgiving in particular this topic becomes the biggest talked about subject.

I think that it shouldn't only be talked about at Thanksgiving time but why not throughout the year? I think we should all be grateful just to be able to wake up each day, to smile, to hear the birds chirp. I think we should be grateful for our health at the time whether its bad or not you are alive to see your family, friends, and another day. Be grateful just to be you and to think know matter how bad you got it someone else has it worse. Be grateful for your friends and your loved ones, especially your family know matter how dsyfunctional lol.

Robert Frost Poems

Stars

How countlessly they congregate
O'er our tumultuous snow,
Which flows in shapes as tall as trees
When wintry winds do blow!--

As if with keenness for our fate,
Our faltering few steps on
To white rest, and a place of rest
Invisible at dawn,--

And yet with neither love nor hate,
Those stars like some snow-white
Minerva's snow-white marble eyes
Without the gift of sight.

Robert Frost

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village, though; He will not see me stopping hereTo watch his woods fill up with snow.My little horse must think it queerTo stop without a farmhouse nearBetween the woods and frozen lakeThe darkest evening of the year.He gives his harness bells a shakeTo ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweepOf easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,But I have promises to keep,And miles to go before I sleep,And miles to go before I sleep. Robert Frost

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stoodAnd looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair,And having perhaps the better claimBecause it was grassy and wanted wear,Though as for that the passing thereHad worn them really about the same,And both that morning equally layIn leaves no step had trodden black.Oh, I marked the first for another day!Yet knowing how way leads on to wayI doubted if I should ever come back.I shall be telling this with a sighSomewhere ages and ages hence:Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference. Robert Frost

Breaking Tradition

Okay please do tell me if you think I am being mean. I do not believe I am but anyways here is what I have to say. Tonight I made a decision. Thanksgiving is only a week away. Well I decided I am not going to do the normal Thanksgiving feast, after running it by the kids they all are in agreeance. We are going to make an all out spaghetti dinner. What will everyone else have to say? Who knows but one thing that is for sure its Spaghetti this year. So am I mean?

A poem by Maya Angelou Love it

Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Neti Pot

How many of you have heard of this neti pot thing?

She couldn't believe it. It had finally arrived. She had wanted this for so long and now that it had arrived she was so overjoyed. She was going to try and keep it a secret. How long could she manage that? Well she knew it had to be until she would meet the little boy she picked to adopt for the holidays.

The promotion at work had been good to her. She never felt as confident as she had now. She even went on her first business trip. She bought several new outfits, a couple pair of shoes, and some accessories just to complete her ensembles. She never looked better.

Everyone had made comments about how much better she seemed to look and feel and she just beamed.

Today was one of those days that she was beaming for reasons other than for herself. This box that had just arrived was going to make one family very happy for the holidays.

She was single had no children of her own. When she had overheard a conversation in the office about being able to adopt a child for the holidays. She didn't quite know what all it entailed but she really thought what a loving, and great idea. She knew she could afford it and she loved kids. She fessed up to the idividuals who were having the conversation that although she was not listening to their conversation but, that she did catch that and wanted to know more about it. Her friend laughed and said wow really? I didn't even think it would be something you were interested in but thank you oh so much. Here is what you have to do. She gave her a number to call. They will tell you what they have open for kids ages and what there needs are. All you have to do is make sure you purchase something and that you wrap it and deliver it where they tell you too. What? Thats it? Well that is easy but, I want to see the child. I want to see their little faces delight when opening it. Well I guess you can ask if that is something they can arrange but it isn't the way things usually work. Okay with all the info in tow she went home and made her call. She went a little overboard but she figured what the heck she didn't have a large family and there really wasn't any little kids anymore. So she bought a small television, three complete outfits, a pair of pajamas, sock and underwear, a pair of sneakers, winter coat and hats and mittens and the one really big big gift. She knew that the child she was buying for had always wanted to participate in sports but, was not fortunate enough to be able to do that due to his medical condition. So she picked up a wii game unit which came with the sports games and she also got the wii fit bundle and made sure this little boy was going to beable to play sports be warm and have a few gifts under the tree this year. She also arranged to be able to spend the afternoon with him to give him his gifts.

She arrived at about 11:30. There she saw him, a tiny little boy who looked about six but he infact was ten. He had many medical issues but she was going to make sure this Christmas he only had a smile and some fun. With that she got out of her car carrying the gifts. She introduced herself and she smiled. As he looked up at her with a very welcoming smile on his face. She took him to a table and let him sit down. She needed to get a few things out of her car. She made some homemade fudge and cookies. She hurried back and said how are you? So nice to meet you? He too was excited to meet her. He couldn't believe all the packages, even more so when she said they are all yours! He had a tear trickle down his cheeks, as he lifted his head with his eyes looking at her and he said why so much? She said because I love kids and I don't have any. If I can help make someone smile why shouldn't I? Besides today is Christmas it is your day to have fun and to get presents. So come on open up. As he unwrapped the clothes the enthusiasm went down a little but, that is expected with kids. He loved the outfits but you could tell he wanted to play. So he began unwrapping the television a twinkle was quickly brought back to his eye. He said, may I open the large box now. She said well you sure can. He couldn't open it quick enough paper flying everywhere. He stopped as soon as he saw Wii. He began to cry. He stood up and hugged her. He said oh my god this is the best christmas ever. She started to cry as well. He quickly opened up the other remaining packages to see that he had gotten the wii fit and another miscellanous game as well as his wii came with the sports package. He was so overjoyed. He thanked her over and over again. She helped him carry things back to his room and got his wii set up and his clothes hung up and the others put in drawers.

They came back out to the common area where she was approached by one of the counselors. That was a very generous gift ma'am. Well I am so glad I was able to do that for him. I am thinking this little boy hasn't had an easy time of things and today he has a smile that can't be erased. The couselor was smiling as well and thanked her for her generosity and kindness. She looked up at the counselor and asked I was wondering can I take him out for a quick christmas dinner and bring him right back? The counselor looking a little sad said, no ma'am we are not allowed to let any of the patients in our care out with anyone unless they are on our mentor program. You will have to apply to do that and you can specifically ask for him. Really? Okay can I have the application. She sat down and quickly filled it all out and submitted it. She then said to the counselor okay if I can't take him to lunch may I bring lunch to him. Oh ofcourse. Okay she asked him if there was one thing she could get him to eat what would it be? He told her McDonald's. McDonalds for a Christmas dinner? Yes he said, with a giggle. Okay you got it. She rushed out and was back in a flash with a Christmas dinner like no other. They talked and laughed and said their goodbyes. This was one Christmas she would never forget, and the first Christmas that had meant anything to him.

Jay Leno show

Last night on Jay Leno, he does the headlines which really cracks me up. Well one of the things that caught my eye was a headline for either a work place, a restaurant, or a school I was half asleep but I have to say I laughed really loud. The whole menu was believe it or not centered on spam. Spam dogs, spam cakes, spam hash, spam nuggets, spam sticks and other miscellanous spam things. I don't know about you but I sure the hell do not want to eat something that can take on that many identities as a matter of fact it really well, rather scares me. By the way what the hell is spam anyways?

Tuesdays thought for the day

Okay why is it when people get married they have to register for the most expensive china and crystal, and they never use it? Don't you think it would be more practical to register for stuff you are actually going to use? I mean shouldn't you register for 800 count sheets rather than the china or crystal that may either stay in the box or get put in a cabinet only to be stared at and people will say that is a beautiful set? You will sleep on the sheets. The overpriced china and crystal will only get comments that who cares really lol. Okay give me your input.

Sunday Scribblings prompt (Stranger)

Hmmm great prompt if you ask me. This could take on so many varities of answers to this prompt.

Okay well lets think about this stranger. Who would of ever thought of putting fuschia and orange together does it get any stranger? Yes, yes it does. I have seen people in the supermarket with their over commercialized lounge pants with cartoon characters on it. Now why do I find this strange? Well why do you have to go out in public in your pj's? First of all you are in a germy environment people are in there with whatever colds and what not and you are in your pj's and your going to go home and relax and go to bed in those clothes you just walked around in yuck.

Lets see what else do I find to be strange. Sheperds pie to me is very strange. To me that is like all of your leftovers plopped together in one dish. Its gross hated it as a kid and despise it now.

Strange is some of the kid shows that are on television now adays. What the hell is a bubah, yo gabba gabba and a wubbzie? What the hell happened to Sesame Street where Cookie Monster was a happy monster who ate chocolate chip cookies and sang C is for cookie now he has been transformed to goodie monster and now veggie monster what?

Strange is some people. Okay not some but all. We all have our quirks but really some more than others.

Strange is the fact that the people who are the buyers and makers of plus sized clothing must be tooth picks or are vying for attention cause good god if we wanted our asses to stand out we could put neon signs there.

Okay thanks for reading I am now officially done rambling and will go to bed since I am still under the weather.

Sundays thought to Ponder

Okay how come when we are sick we can be up throughout the day feeling all well crappy and occasionally get into a good coughing fit or whatever? You lay down in bed after having some quiet time and you feel like hey I am finally going to get some sleep, when you notice the time on the clock then bam it hits and you start with those nonstop coughing jags. You look at the clock to discover you have only been laying down 45 minutes or maybe an hour at most now you are back up and writing on your blog what gives? Why damn it why lol? Geesh pass me some Nyquil and knock me out and I will stop posting this rambling crap lol.

Thursdays thought of the Day

How come when you get married it is known to be the happiest day of your life? Not too mention one of the costliest. Yes I know the reason behind why the happiest but lets think about this. Okay now to the heart of this thought. Then why must we wear white? Holy crap someone please tell me that. If I am going to be happy its not in white. I want to wear something I like something that I am comfortable in and something that perhaps I might be able to atleast wear again. Okay yes there is choices now adays but back when I was getting married yeah I sound old lol and NO I am not it was white, ivory, or maybe one with a hint and I mean a hint of pink. So now are you wondering what happened to mine? Let me tell ya. I ebayed it and you want to know who won the wedding dress, a MAN and no he didn't buy it for the little wifey to be. Enough said.

Thought for Tuesday and Wednesday

Here is a thought. I want to know the answer the long lived question of how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Has someone honestly ever really counted the licks it took them to get to that chewy gooey centered goodness? Please answer the darn question.

Soul Mates

Okay someone asked me a simple question, do you believe in soulmates?

Maybe it is not an easy or simple question but it is one I have thought about many times before. The question of whether or not I believe in soulmates. I do believe in soulmates. Do I think that everyone marries there soulmate? I do not think that at all.

I believe in soulmates because, I believe there is someone out there who has all the qualities, likes and dislikes that are perfect to each and everyone of us. However do to where ever you live or whatever you situation may be people don't always get their soulmate. I believe that you can love and be happy with someone who is not your soulmate as well. Do I think that people realize whether or not they have not married their soulmate? I do think some people do. I do not think that is the cause of divorce. I think that people get bored and don't challenge their relationships enough, and they don't try to work out the issues which is what results in divorces. Ofcourse there are other situations when divorce is really inevitable and no matter how much you work on it, it needs to end. So yes soulmates in my opinion exist.

A thought For Saturday

Okay I asked someone to help since I am sleep deprived today to come up with something to write about. He said how about what makes life what it is. Not a bad idea. So here goes you can ponder it and let me know what you think, or just read and go with it lol.

Here is my thought, I think what makes life what it is, is this. Life is what it is because of who you were brought up to be but, most of all what you did to make you who you are. If you are a person with integrity, honesty, empathy, just all around good morals and a great work ethic, you are caring and can be there for people and just be a good friend and a listener you are probably more than what most people get in a lifetime. You experiences and life lessons are also all apart of the wonderful journey of life and all these things factor into what make life what it is and most importantly how you handle yourself during some of the harder times and the easy times. Okay ponder away.

Another Post

Yesterday I posted the thought of the day regarding fish being brain food. Well after doing some brief thinking on the subject maybe they aren't so stupid after all. Why is this you ask? Well lets think about it. What do most fisherman do? They go early in the morning, or after getting off the night shift, them and their buddies go right? What else do they do? Well they usually pack a cooler with a few goodies then their alcohol of choice. They pick out the comfy spot where they have fished forever. They get comfy talk about how the fish aren't really biting right now, pop open a frothy beverage, eat a goodie, gab a few more minutes then say lets give it another hour or so. Well in this hour what do they do? Fall asleep, when they wake up they say damn still nothing, you got anything? Nope I haven't gotten anything not so much as a bite. Duh how would they know? So maybe that fish isn't some dumb after all or atleast not all fish are. Maybe the ones that get caught aren't stupid just toying with the fisherman making them think they got lucky and before they know it into the frying pan.

Friday's Thought of the Day

Why is it that when you first meet someone chances are you did a little flirting, that is what got the other persons attention and they liked it. How come when you flirt later on that same person will suddenly get jealous even though they still are the most important person to you? How come they can flirt and if you point it out they so much as come out and say oh my god you are just jealous aren't you? Has anyone else out there noticed this stuff? LOL I know too much time lol.

My Breath I posted this a long time ago on another site

My breath

To hear it
see it
feel it

warm and sensual
makes your hair
stand on ends

the rise of my chest
effortless and peaceful

to hear and feel
my every breath

Thursday thought of the day

Okay I obviously have too much time on my hands somedays so here goes, why is fish called brain food? Lets not get into the whole omega fatty acid stuff but lets really think about this. If they were so smart why would they end up on a hook? Only to then be at the mercy of the fisherman who may or may not release them or who may say damn he would look mighty fine next to a side of hush puppies. Just another random thought.

Oh yeah the carb thing its going.

I am a Libra

Blue bow (continued Provocative)

Touching, feeling, moaning, groaning, the wanton urges. As he enters I let out a moan, and so does he. He feels so good. First real slow movements, he is such a tease. More passionate kisses, as he begins to move a little faster but not too much. Love to pull his hair and suck on his neck. Feel him hold on to me ever so tightly as he nibbles my neck and then sucks. He moves fsster into me and I can't help but let out a slight scream. He feels so good. The wetness I can feel, the sweat from him dripping onto me. His light touches on my body as he continues to go faster and harder. I bite the sheet so that I don't scream to much. I can harldy contain myself. We make eye contact which drives us both nuts. As we move in perfect synch together, I lightly run my fingers up and down his arms. He stops and moans and then drives in harder. The headboard knocking on the wall I can't control myself anymore I scream, his heart beats faster, my breathing gets more rapid. He grabs hold of the headboard and with one good thrust lets out a deep moan like never before, followed by my quivering body my mouth open wanting to release a scream but he left me breathless wanting him all over again. (To be continued)

Holiday Times Yet Again

Once again all the stores are alive with the feeling of the approaching holidays. With the country in an economic crunch, how do you feel this year about the holidays? Are you still anxiously awaiting them and really not thinking much about the economic situation, or are you dreading them?

On another note once again we are approaching Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any fave all time special dish they just can't do the holiday without? For some reason I can't seem to give up the Greenbean casserole. I know some years it is a smash and some years people say I am so bored of that. For some reason if its not on the table just seems like something is missing to me. So share with me your fave dish and a recipe if you could.

Now for Black Friday, what is your predicition? This is a mandatory day off for me every year. I would work Thanksgiving to get black friday off. Okay my predicition is this, due to the economic situation I firmly believe that the sales are going to be terrible, we aren't going to see the bargains we have in the past, and I truly think that although there will be all sorts of people out and about trying to get that one hot item, there won't be enough of the things that will sell in stock and the things that not everyone wants will be fully stocked. I think the stores will see that what there anticipating for sales is going to be very disappointing. I noticed even for Halloween the cutbacks in our area. Where people used to go all out with decorations and lights there were hardly any this year. I see different decorations set up for Thanksgiving but again I am not seeing a lot of people rushing out to get anything. So we will see share with me your prediction for black friday.

Provocative Posts

Just a note to all my blog friends and readers. Just to let you know I have been posting a few provocative pieces here and there. Dabbling with that style of writing has been risque for me but very much fun and exciting. I hope that I have not offened anyone and if there is someone who wished not to read the provocative pieces I will start labeling them provocative so that you know which ones to skip over. Thanks for all that come here to read my blog and who leave their comments I truly enjoy everyones comments and I love all the new readers that have recently stopped in.

Tuesdays thought for the day

Okay do tell me if you can. Why is it that when a child is home sick from school they are so sick, but come the time when school will end they are miraculously healed? Or even better they took the day off due to illness and then the next day is a day off, they were legitmately sick but come that day off they are up and ready to play. Why is this? And why everytime I go to the doctors hand over that stupid co pay does it seem like any of the symptoms that were present at home have finally found the way to disappear? Just a few questions and thoughts for the day.

Continued Blue Bow

His fingers lighty caressing by hip bone as the panties slide down to my ankles. His tongue tracing back up to my breasts as he lightly nibbles and licks each one. Then he sucks ever so gently on my neck and then to my earlobes as he gently whispers I am going to make you melt. I wanna scream at the thought. He turns me on with everything he does.

He works his way back down with his tongue. His fingers make there way down as he lightly touches and teases. I grab the sheets with both hands so tightly as I let out a slight moan. His touch driving me wild.

His moistened fingers part my lips as he explores. I raise my legs onto his shoulders as his fingers slip out and his tongue moves in. My back arched and I let out a moan. His throbbing cock wanting to enter. He takes his time with his tongue exploring making me moan. He lets out sighs and moans of his own.
(To Be continued)

Damn it I want chocolate

Okay the carb thing is going well. Ugggghhhhh two more weeks. I want chocolate and I want it now!!! Is that a bad thing?

Blue Bow

I love the way he looks at me so adoringly. Always has something on his mind. Some nights its a spontaneous moonlit walk on the beach. Other times a great picnic out in the middle of nowhere but just me and him.

He loves to talk so do I. He loves to read so do I. He loves to spend time with me and I love to spend time with him. We agreed on a steamy fling. It suited us both just fine.

I called him and suggested we do a movie night a real ole fashioned date night. I was thinking we both were getting to like each other a little bit better than the fling thing. So he had agreed. We agreed on 7:30 my place. We were going to order chinese and I had picked a movie he was going to pick one up on his way as well and some wine. This was going to be good. I picked up a few other little necessities that I was sure would well get his attention.

As I scurried around to set the mood in my place and get the menus to a few of the local chinese joints I thought about how I should present the few items to him.

Should I let him come in enjoy his meal and then excuse myself to get dressed into something a little more comfortable. Oh that was lame. I would have to be innovative and creative.

I know I have the perfect idea I will just open the door in the outfit why not? He will either love it or hate it.

So as I notice the clock strike 6 I know this is now the time I have to throw this little number together. So I take my shower. As I am drying off I have the panties a nice frilly lacey number in blue from Fredericks that I picked up yesterday and A nice big blue bow that are going right across my breasts.

I get my hair done make up done and notice there is only fifteen minutes to spare. My phone is vibrating on the table. There is a message and it is from him. It was letting me know he was leaving the movie store and on his way to the house should be there soon. Great I am ready and waiting.

Five minutes later there is a knock at the door, I look out the peep hole to see it is him. I love his smile, damn just his over all look is enough to melt me. I pull it together real quick open the door. His jaw just about hits the ground. He quickly comes in and drops the flowers, movie, and bottle of wine on the floor.

His kisses are always like magic. Our tongues play a game of twisting together. as he begins to whisper can we take this in the other room. I give a playful giggle and say not quite yet.

He looks at me puzzled but with that devilish smile and sparkle in his eyes. He doesn't allow for any other things to happen he quickly picks me up and carries me over his shoulder. He gently places me down on the bed. I can't help but to smile at his eagerness to explore me. His yearning desire has pushed me to just wanting to scream take me. But I just keep looking at him wondering what he is thinking. What his next move will be.

Right as I am thinking that he moves his head to my breast and starts to pull my bow open with his teeth. I grab a hold of his head and let out a slight giggle and ask do you like your surprise? He looks at me ever so mischieviously and his hair tousled, do I? What do you think?

As I lay fully exposed, with the exception of the panties he begins exploring. His mouth doing wonderful things. I can't help but moan. He keeps wandering further down he reaches the lace blue panties. I let out a louder moan, just as he starts to slip them off. (To be continued)

Sunday Scribblings prompt (Scandalous)

Everyone knew about it. Like how could they not. Unless you were new here, okay even then you knew about it. It wasn't a secret anymore. It probably never really was.

Well so what am I talking about? Well really it is none of your business. Can't you see it? If you can't see it or hear it then why am I going to bother wasting my time on making it more apparent to you?

Okay let me give you a hint. It is rather large. Sometimes friendly, sometimes nerve racking, sometimes mean or menacing but just in a hey get my point sort of way.

Okay so you want to know more. It happened a few years ago okay more like thirty something years ago. It happened there that house yep the grey one. Its a big house and the family that lived there were such awesome people. They made friends with everyone.

Well one day something happened. I guess they went away or something there was no real announcement, no goodbyes.

Then the new family moved in they were okay but they didn't shine like the other family. Well the new family had been there almost three months when things would happen. The lights would turn off and on the cabinets would open and close, water would be running, and you could hear sounds but none that would make sense.

One night the family decided to hold a party for the whole neighborhood it was a great party. There was food, games, music and just good ole fashioned stories to be told amongst one another. Families all coming together to meet the new neighbors that is when things started going ary.

People could hear voices but nobody could see where they were coming from, then the sound of water running and no faucets were on, lights blinking on and off. The slamming of doors and cabinets the television going all staticy the phone ringing. Everyone decided this was there time to thank the gracious hosts and leave before anything else could happen. As visitors tried leaving the doors would lock or slam on them hurting a few and just not cooperating.

That was when they left about a week after the party. Nobody heard where they went or why but they did. The only thing that still serves as the reminder is that.

I know you can see it. He floats up there in the window every night a smile on his face waving to all who drive past or walk past.

The scandalous ghost that resides there, does it really exist?
