Banging, throbbing,
excruciating pain!

Tears well up
I am too tired.

Need sleep.
DESPERATELY!

Any sound, any light
amplifies the pain.

My breathing
gets more rapid.

I try to escape
to a tranquil place.

Where there no sounds,
just a soothing breeze.

Still the pain is there.

The pain of migraines.

bright cheery day

Flowers in bloom
birds singing

People bustling from one thing
to another.

Children having fun
laughing and giggling

The pastry shop
doors wide open
as the sweet scents
filled the air.

Down to the local
theater I could hear them

Here is a place
where magic is
made everyday,
every week,
every month.

As I got closer
"Everyone suddenly
burst out singing,
and I was filled with
such delight".

Wow 2009 where oh where did you go?

I was thinking today when I wrote an email to my dear friend across the pond in jolly ole England (Keith) that wow this year has flown by. I know some may say what is the big deal they all do. Wrong this year just seems to have gone by faster than some of the years in the past. I was thinking wow winter is truly through, Spring has sprung everything is in full bloom and things are green trees are full it is just so pretty out there. This gave me hope that Summer is truly on its way. The sun is shining so bright today and we are going to have a record high the majority of this week of it being in the 80's unreal and so nice to hear and feel trust me. After the winter months I welcome this unusal heat wave with welcome arms. So where did this year go? It just seems that it came and is almost gone. Am I alone in this feeling of 2009?

Carry On Tuesdays First Prompt

Ahhh fresh air, finally!
A smile came across her face. It had been a record high heat wave of a month. Many had been hospitalized due to heat stroke, and dehydration.
Now finally thirty days since the heatwave began, they were finally getting a break. A much needed one at that. They had a horrendous downpour, then some heavy winds. The sky had been dark and dreary, perhaps more bad weather would be rolling in. By the time she had gotten home, and had eaten her dinner, she had noticed a change in the overall appearance of the outside and just the weather in general. A lighter feeling in the atomsphere. She went out on her porch. She immediately noticed there was no humidity, and there was a very gently breeze one of those that caress your body as you feel it brush against you.
It was then with camera in hand that the night sky caught her eye. She thought to herself "A cloudless night like this can set the spirit soaring".
After a few pics of the night sky, she went inside to jot down a few ideas inspired by this awesome evening.

The thud loud in my ear,
as my heart races.

I can feel the sweat
rolling down my face.

Tick Tock the clock begins
to race. My mind moving
faster than my hand can write.

My head begins to spin.
Things get blurry.
Heart races.

Take a deep breath.
Let out a big sigh!

Satin sheets
red wine
roses fresh from the vine
such sweet treats.

Tall dark and handsome
A cowboy in disguise
I wish he would come hold me for ransom.

Give me a moment to stare in his eyes
Time with him is so divine.
As his words echo in my mind.
"Care to swing on my vine?"

Spring Clean up

I usually look forward to this. Right now I am dreading it. However in the end it will all be worth it. How many of you have started your Spring cleaning? Better yet who is procrastinating on it? I am procrastinating only cause I am down and out with pneumonia at present but, I think a little of it is because I have it set in my mind I am going to paint and organize as well. Yeah I know organizing comes along with the whole Spring cleanup but hey I got a lot of organizing to do. A lot of thoughts on what I want to get done, get accomplished and how things should look. So we will see if I can get it all accomplished and done by the second week of June. No pressure lol.

Flash Friday 55 (Mmmmm)

Silky yet a bit sticky.
Smooth with just a little shine.
Deep chocolate brown.

Watching it swirl, and swirl,
until it finally makes a pool
in the bottom of the glass.

Take that silver spoon
mixing it with the milk.
Watching as the milk turns
to the nicest chocolatiest color.

Mmmm chocolate milk pure deliciousness.
