Against All Odds

" Dammit I have seen this time and time again. I have seen it done, I even dream of doing it. I should not be having all this trouble" he said, out loud.

"Why is it that when I need something now I can't have it?" "Why is it that I can never get anything to work the way it should?" "Why?"

As he lay his head down on the desk he could hear something. He wasn't really sure what was being said but, it was a voice. Was it someone trying to tell him how to get what he needed? He shook the thought off, he decided to just shut his eyes for a few minutes.
He was walking down a corridor, there was lots of light, bright lights. Voices some he knew, some he never had heard before. All knew him, all were trying to talk to him all at once. What was going on?

He could see it, there were tons and tons of tiny pieces. People staring at him. Questioning him about what these pieces were? How to get them assembled, and how to do it quickly?
He was familiar with the pieces, in fact he was familiar with exactly what to do. He knew the clock was racing. This was going to be a key element into the planets future.

He organized teams, he drew up sketches, he presented the idea to the room of people his colleagues. Some of the face very familiar others not even remotely recognizable. He showed them what it was going to take to make this object, and what materials he needed and he needed them now!

Time was of the essence and he wasn't going to blow it. His colleagues were impressed with his fast thinking, his knowledge of how this would work, and what it could do for the planet. What everyone did question was would he do it in time?

He awoke in a pool of sweat. He raced to the conference hall gathered what he needed. He knew he had exactly three hours, and he was determined. Against all odds he would complete this difficult task. In the end he did complete the assignment with time to spare. Against all odds he did the one thing he wasn't sure he could complete, today he is hailed as one of the most valuable people on his team at work.

Sounds like a very useful team member! You can do almost anything if you put your mind to it and think positively.
