Breaking Point (Week 13 writing prompt for matinee muse)

We all get there, we all reach it at some point. You just can't take it anymore. No matter what, it happens to us all.

Ever feel like anything you did or do just isn't good enough? Ever feel like the world is out to get you? Ever just want to scream and you can't quite explain why but, you do know you are pissed.

Ever just get upset cause the person in front of you in the grocery store decides to (a) put back some of the items, (b)forgot to stop at the bank and now has to write a check or (c) has a coupon for every item on the list? It may be small things but it is all things that just builds up.

Yep they build up til we just can't take it anymore. We snap. We yell, we scream, we scream obsene words lol.

Why do we have this so called breaking point? Why do we let things build up. This creates stress. Stress will cause strokes or heart attacks. We know this but yet and still we all let it happen. The breaking point.

Why is it called the breaking point and not the yelling point? Ponder that one. In the meantime don't get mad cause I posed a question. If your mad or getting angry that you have to ponder that question you are already stressed lol.

The breaking point and unpleasant point one reaches due to the stupidity of others. Are there ways to prevent it? Sure and this does not include living in a bubble. There are simple steps. such as do not let it build up, stop it when it is happening, say what is on your mind to stop the craziness before it gets the better of you. Yes stop it before it gets you. Yes you may say things that will upset someone initially but you can always apologize if you need to at a later date. Why should you have the extra stress on your shoulders? Why should we reach this so called breaking point. The whole term breaking point to me is just well rather unpleasant. Think about it. Breaking is to destroy something or cause pain to something. Point is something sharp or getting your message across to someone in a stern yet very firm way.

So stop it before it happens and you won't have to have a breaking point.
